As Leanne Payne once said about Pastoral Care Ministries, MPC operates in “hobbit-like fashion.” We have just two paid staff members: Sarah Colyn, who leads the board, teaches at our schools and retreats, and produces our newsletter; and Hilary Tompkins, who assists Sarah, the board, and the team in all things administrative. Our ministry team is an all-volunteer group of over 45 men and women in 7 nations around the world. Our team members are pastors, priests, lay ministry leaders, mental health and medical professionals, academics and business people, 12-step sponsors, and veterans of like-minded ministries such as Living Waters that address sexual and relational issues. One thing we all share in common is that the gospel reached each one of us in life-saving and life-changing ways through the books and ministry of Leanne Payne. God has turned our own wounds into healing power for His people, and it is now our privilege to share that same faith, hope, and love with our brothers and sisters around the world. Attendees at MPC events often remark on the special spirit of love and unity that characterizes our team. This is God’s grace, a charism only He can give, and we are humbled and grateful to work together with Christ as our living head. MPC was founded as a non-profit in 2009 and is a led by a board of directors, all of whom also serve as ministry team members at our schools and retreats. We are strengthened by the leadership of regional directors in New Zealand, Korea, and Switzerland.
